Regarding Weathering - Φαινόμενα καιρού
Το darling magazine [darlingmagazine.online] είναι καταρχήν ένας διαδικτυακός τόπος, που με αφορμή κάθε φορά μια θεματική θα φιλοξενεί κείμενα, δοκίμια και έργα καλλιτεχνών και συγγραφέων.
Για το πρώτο τεύχος εστιάζουμε και ερευνούμε σύγχρονες θεωρήσεις των σχέσεων του φυσικού και του ανθρωπογενούς, το φυσικό ενδιαίτημα (habitat) και την ανθρώπινη συνθήκη, το δίπολο banality/ fatality της φύσης, την συμβιωτική αντίληψη και την ανάπτυξη οικο-συναισθημάτων (psychoterratic states).
Το θέμα μας αφορά την μεταβλητότητα του καιρού που μπορεί να λειτουργεί καταλυτικά σε μια σειρά από δραστηριότητες εξαρτώμενες από τις εκφάνσεις της φύσης, αυτό που θα ονομάζαμε «καιρού επιτρέποντος» (weather permitting), στη γλώσσα της ναυτιλίας.
Η επικαιρότητα του καιρού είναι ένας άμεσος τρόπος για να κατανοήσουμε πως εμείς αλληλοδιαπλέκομαστε στον κλιματικά μεταβαλλόμενο περιβάλλον.
Καλούμε τους συντελεστές αυτού του τεύχους να αναρωτηθούμε για την αλλαγή του καιρού με τους συνειρμούς της τυχαιότητας και του ενδεχομένου, της φθοράς και της διάβρωσης, της απότομης αλλαγής του καιρού καθώς και των δικών μας μεταπτώσεων (mood) και πως η μετεωρολογική ένδειξη μπορεί να είναι και μια πολιτική επισήμανση.
Με πλαίσιο αναφορών από το 'De rerum natura' του Λουκρητίου εως το 'Lecture on the Weather' του John Cage και από το 'Weathering' των Astrida Neimanis & Jennifer Hamilton εως το 'Τέττιξ' της Φοίβης Γιαννίση, απευθύνουμε κάλεσμα για κείμενα και έργα.
Το darling magazine [darlingmagazine.online] is primarily an online site, which will host texts, essays and works by artists and writers, each time on a different theme.
For the first issue, we focus on and investigate contemporary views of the relationship between the natural and the anthropogenic, the natural habitat and the human condition, the contradictory banality/ fatality of nature, the symbiotic perception and the development of eco-emotions (psychoterratic states).
Our subject 'Weathering' is about the variability of the weather, acting as a catalyst on any occasion dependant on the manifestations of nature, what we would call "weather permitting" in the language of shipping. The topicality of weather provides us a way in understanding how we are intertwined in the climate changing environment.
We invite the contributors to examine the change of weather; the erosion and attrition, the abruptness and the shifts, the associations of randomness and contingency, and furthermore our own mood fluctuations and oscillations or even how the meteorological indication can be and a political comment.
Within a context of references from 'De rerum natura' by Lucretius to 'Lecture on the Weather' by John Cage and from 'Weathering' by Astrida Neimanis & Jennifer Mae Hamilton to 'Tettix' by Phoebe Giannisi, we are inviting contributions.

Weathering - Φαινόμενα καιρού

Βρισκόμαστε με την Τερέζα στη Βάρκιζα και καθώς μαζεύουμε την ύλη του περιοδικού προκύπτουν κάποια αναμενόμενα και ίσως ακόμη αναπάντητα μέχρι και τώρα ερωτήματα.
